The most important goal at the institute is to develop your own potential We specialize in teaching very young children between the ages of 7 and 12 yearsl. The training these youngsters receive gives them a great amount of pride, discipline, self-confidence and self-respect which helts build their character. Children are never pressured to perform beyond thheir own capabilities. We guarantee that no child is incapable of benefiting from Isshin Ryu karate training. How Long Does It Take To Become A Black Belt?
This depends on how hard you want to work. When you enroll you will receive a very informative training manual that contains all the requirements you must know for your promotion to black belt. All beginners start by wearing a white belt and then advance as their ability improves to yellow, orange, green, brown, and finally black belt. Contrary to public belief, a person with a black belt does not have to register his hands with the police department. The black belt is a symbol of the karate student's victory over themself and each black belt holder knows (and justly so) the pride of achievement in the art. In general it takes 4 to 6 years to achieve a first degree black belt.
Is Learning Self-Defense Really Necessary? A study of daily police reports or a check of the morning newspaper will answer that question.
